Hi,
Recently I went with my family to watch this movie. What can I say, it was the worst movie ever. I was unable to tolerate the movie not even till halftime. Jokes are very low-like & silly.
Its not that Akshay Kumar’s movies are not good. But I think he can do better. What the movie lacked was a good story. And the fun element needed to me more witty. This was very plain kiddish humour that could only make a small child laugh. And yes, for that matter, my Neice and Nephew loved the movie. Soundtrack is ridiculously stupid.
There is a little bit of romance, I liked that. So basically it is about a young Punjabi guy(Akshay) who is desperately trying to get a hold of his like and make his parents proud. He is afraid of his father who constantly nags him to make something of himself. He is very close to his mother who constantly encourages him and instills faith in him and understands him.
Akshay goes to Goa to work with his uncle and make his living so that he can prove to his dad that he is not worthless.
At the same time the actress comes to Goa looking for her mother and also she is fed up of all the mafia business his father had while simultaneously escaping KK Menon who is shown in the movie as a rich spoit brat and a lunatic. Akshay and the actess fall in love after a series of irritating episodes with each other. Lara Dutta plays cupid(unintentionally) while acting as translator for both as they did not understood each other’s language.
So basically it is a one time watch. No brains required kind of movie.
Fun to watch with family especially kids. Not lots of movies for them these days:)
