Singh is Kinng ::: Scanned !!!
SiK, Finally watched it. Been waiting for this one as much as have been waiting for Any Akki movie. Expectation were burdened on this film as we walk into the theatre. We all know that it is not going to be a great FILM but yes a great ENTERTAINER a la Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiya etc.
As the film progresses, I kept waiting first for Akki, thankfully he enters 5 minutes into the movie and provides some releif from a Parachuting DON. The story doesnt grow here. Happy SIngh is planned by the PIND walas to be sent off and they plan to send him to Australia to get Back Lakhan SIngh Aka Lucky Aka Kinng from Australia. On reaching Australia we all know the hero would face problems. He does and there is READYMADE MAA waiting for him out there who later on becomes SASU MAA.
Happy tries to convince Lucky to get back home but it comes out as a failed attempt. On the second Coincidental Attempt he makes, Lucky is attacked circumstances force Happy to become the King. He does become the king but never forgets the READYMADE MAA.
He goes back to her only to learn that she is in problem where she has been lying to her daughter who was studying Law in egypt and now is coming to Australia. Happy takes her comes, makes all the king’s men her slaves and himself comes a manager of them This natak goes on till the time the DON SLAVES lose thier cool and reveal everything to Puneet, whome Sonia is supposed to get married to and this drama was all set up for him, offcourse Sonia, unknown of the proceesings. Wow now Happy’s Happiness and the GOLDEN HEART wins Sonia and finally they end up getting together and then at the same time Lucky also recovers from his Hypopotamus Name like Disease .. Oh Yeah Hema Malini Disease, and then decides to go back to the Virsa.
Well this movies showcases all the ingridients of a MASALA Movie which are only made to rake in money with the help of big names, lil bit of comedy, and locales etc. But the story isnt weak here, Its Missing. I seriously mean it ... Jo Bole So Nihaal was better, really !!!
The Readymade Maa, the Foolish Staff at the Airport who without cheking Send Akki to Egypt and someone else to Australia, Motorboat Ghussing in to the Helicopter etc etc All Rajnikantish stuff was there in the movie. I reckon Anees Bazmee made a Trip to Ramoji Film City before making this flick.
Music Is really good, but it sounds better in the Car.
Performances - Katrina is as usual, She has been consistent now and immensly mind blowing in NOT ACTING at all.
Om Puri was good in and under written role.
Sonu Sood OK, Yashpal Sharma Wasted, Manoj Pahwa Wasted and Javed jaffery was excellent.
Special Mention for Ranbir Sheroy, this dude is a really cool actor. He enacts his part with utmost ease. A top class actor.

Akshay Kumar - There will be only Singh without Akki for this movie, the Kinng is directly related to AKSHAY and no one else. In A weak film like this also, he manages to keep the audiences at the Bay. Not a Single Soul in the theatre was not in hysterics when Akshay was on screen. Actually he is tere in the movie from Scene 00:05:00 till 02:10:0. Its an Akshay Kumar. [b] No one else cudve done Singh and also the King the way Akki does it. Especially not Shahrukh Khan and Pawan Kalyan. Even though thr movie is weak Akshay still announces him as a Kinng, not worded from him mouth, but Literally and Figuratively and Massively shaking SRK [/b]
Neha Dhupia and Kiron Kher were all right.
One Req to Anees Bazmee, please dont waste people like Gurpreet Guggi and Khayali.
Overall the Film was bound to dissapoint as a Film, but it failed to make its mark as an entertainer as well. The one who played Singh, is the Kinng indeed but the makers are Beggars.
