This is one of the Bollywood movies that impressed me a lot in recent times. Good direction, nice storyline, and decent performances, make this movie a must watch. If you have like “Life in a Metro”, then you will definitely like this movie. If you did not like “Life in a Metro”, even then this movie is sure to impress you as it “Sirf” scores highly in terms of cinematography.
Sirf is a story of four couples – all of whom face different challenges in their lives. Its all about the challenges in life faced by these couples and how their influence each other’s lives. I would suggest all married and to-be-married people to watch this movie.
Because amongst us there is a woman who aim in life is to get married to her beloved and have a decent life. There is a woman who struggles to strike a balance between her professional life, her husband’s ego and her ailing daughter. There is a woman who loves her husband so much that she doubts his every move. And then there is a woman who yearns for her husband’s attention.
Then, there is a man amongst us, who’s struggling to earn money so that he can marry his longtime girlfriend. The is a man who has to fight with his ego because his wife earns more than him and devotes all his time to office to get a promotion even to the extent of neglecting his ailing daughter. There is man who loves his wife very much but then again wants her to accept his male and female friends alike. And yet again, there is man who is so busy to earn money for his wife that he doesn’t have time for his wife.
Sirf is the story of these various characters whose lives are entwined and influenced by each other. How fate brings them together and how they influence each other is rest of the story.
The direction is too good and it is not one of those “rona-dhona” type of movies. The plot has been handled well and again the movie does no preaching. It leaves the audience to decide what to do in such situations.
Music is good and particularly ‘Zindagi ki reet yahi hai…” by Kunal Ganjawala is a mesmerizing. The other songs are good and go well with the narrative.
