The 3 of us had to control our breath and take a while to be accustomed, until we could get used to the smell. The entrances, the lifts and up until the 1st floor, is all alcohol smelling.
We ordered for a few beers and as starters it’s Crispy Veg and Chicken 65. My friend went on to question whether that was chicken only in the first place, which was used in the Chicken 65.
The Chicken 65 was not even remotely any version of Chicken 65 and the Crispy Veg was a savior for us, as accompaniments for our beers. As the night progressed and the conversations started to get serious so did our beer orders.
More accompaniments followed in versions of Crispy Corn which tasted and looked more like South Indian Mixture with huge curry leaves downed in it. The Chicken Majestic was the better of all the dishes we have had there.
The evening at Sitara was not and never about food, it was always about catching up and it was stunning to imagine that the beers were lesser priced than even any of the accompaniments we’d ordered.
Nevertheless, I wasn’t unhappy in any way, because sometimes these sleazy settings can make a long forgotten charm on you and when you got good company to share with, then, well everything takes a light.
