Ive been noticing this store for a year now but since it is out of my way, Ive been avoiding to vist it. But last weekend, my sister and I finally made a big plan and go shop at SKC. . When we entered in the three storey building that resembled a mall, we were expecting to be surprised. And we were - but ghastly! The ground floor looked like the underground retail shops situated in crowded markets. It was well-spaced and display was neat. We went to the second floor for womens wear and I was taken back, twice in less than 2 minutes.
So we liked the berets on sale and spent about 15 minuted trying them on. Meanwhile, this guy in formals standing next to the mirror, sized me up to my face and whispered something to his friend. When he wasnt done watching me, I yelled at him and told him to get out of my face! Later I learnt, that the guy I yelled at was a SALESMAN at SKC. Is that what you call salesmanship???
Youre no different than the losers walking on the road, waiting to grope you. And people like us go to the mall to get away from such crowd. Anyway, when we were utterly disguted with the "Fancy Tops" section, we decided to visit the Indian wear. All the "Churidar Tops" were in F size and had cheap labels on them only in size 36. So much for variety. Big Bazaar has better stuff! From the corner of my eye I saw the bridal couture and it looked alright. But rest of it was plain hopless.
At the biling counter, the woman seemed angry about something and mumbled something in Hindi to the salesman who accompnied us. There was confusion with the discount and she didnt seem very happy to be clearing it with the customer - well, me. I just wanted to get out of there. Three words - Total Let down.
