Tip for healty skin during winter

In winter skin tends to be dry and itchy irrespective of any skin type . It is essential that one make sure their skin is well protected during winter, if not the damage might be severe.

If your skin type is dry, then extra care need to be taken. First thing in the morning always massage your skin well with coconut oil. Allow the oil on your skin atleast 20 to 30 mins to be absorbed and then you can go for bathing. Always remember to use very mild and moisturizing soap or use green gram powder while bathing. Doing so will allow your skin to retain maximum moisture for the day. After bathing dab your skin softly and apply high moisturizing lotion from branded company. I would personally suggest Nivea cold cream/moisturizing lotion or Vasaline moisturizing lotion they are effective. Also remember to apply these lotion as often as possible throughout the day according to your need.

Never allow your skin to feel dry. Always try to cover your face and hand with a shawl, even during winter the skin tends to get tanned and lose its moisture due to cold.

Mix equal proportion of coconut oil and glycerin and store it in tight container. Take required amount of of this mixture and apply it on your skin while at home and before going to bed.

Normal to Oily skin type can also follow the above said tip. Person with either of this skin type should also take extra care in protecting their skin.

During winter you would not feel more thirsty, so intake of water would be lesser compare to intake of water during summer. So always keep in mind that you consume more liquid in form of water and fresh juices to keep your body and skin hydrated.
