Safe and style: GErman excellence

I bought my Skoda Kushaq 1.0 TSI Ambition last August from Noida showroom. Now almost nine months have passed, so I thought it will be better write what I feel. Maybe help some brother who is planning. I live with my parents and family together and I was looking for a good spacious car with safety. We are daily using car for office commute, sometimes Delhi trips for son and weekly family dinner at Indirapuram, also once to road trip to Himachal or Uttarakhand.

First thing, look of Kushaq is very sharp, people look at it and turn. It is a good show off in the society. You may judge me but looks of the car is very important for me. Front grill big chrome, LED headlight cut like knife. Orange colour helps in hiding dust little because Ghaziabad has a lot of dust in summer. Body panel is sturdy and when you knock you heard a thud sound which you will not find in like some Korean car. My father tested it before buying and came out and said safe lagti hai.

The inside cabin is fancy but it is little narrow for five healthy adults. Dashboard is two tone. It has 10-inch touch screen which sometimes hang and needs to be restarted, which can be frustrating at times. Seats are supportive, ventilated seats work magic In the April heat, my mother thanks the engineer. Leg room at the rear is good, but the middle person fights with hump and in a long journey, it can be hard for 5 people. If you want to go to Manali, better to take 4 people. Boot only 385 litre so when we travel with two suitcases need juggle space.

Drive feels very good, merging with NH24 is easy. Gearbox manual six speed slick but clutch heavy for bumper traffic near Vasundhara flyover. Mileage city around 12 kmpl with AC, highway 17 plus if cruise at 90. Noise insulation is fine till 100 but after that the tyre can roar.

Suspension balance is very good. I can easily pass the speed breakers in Ghaziabad with my son sleeping peacefully. On hill to Nainital engine gets strained with AC on and 4 people but still okay. Safety is also the reason I choose, new 5-star rating gives peace to parents after we saw accident on GT Road.

Service first time at SKODA Rajnagar was ok. The labour charge is higher than Maruti. Oil and filter 8k, they offer pick drop service, which was very cool.

Some negative: No diesel, price is high 17.5 lakh on road for my variant, digital cluster only available in top model, window switch cheap, and 30k km service maybe costly. Also, resale is a challenge due to high service cost.

But overall I feel proud when drive Kushaq, it gives a big car feel with a trusted brand and ensures safety for my family. I am a true Indian, but for cars, I only trust German! Go for it without any doubt.
