I am driving my Skoda Rapid, bought in Jan 2012, done 21064 kms till date.
After reading all the reviews about the brand skoda, I decided to go for the rapid diesel version, thinking that I am buying a very good product.
But after 1 year- the cabin has creaking noise from the doors and rear
ABS system of rapid- When brakes are are suddenly applied at high speed, the ABS comes in play. & beware - the sound and feel is as if the car has hit on a speed breaker or pothole.
SO MUCH FOR GERMAN BUILT QUALITY ENGINEERING!
And the engine sound - everybody can tell from a mile that somewhere a skoda engine has started.
Have taken to service centre quite a few times. when the return the vehicle- after 1-2 months
again the noise starts.
One dealer tells wheel alignment & balancing not required, other says required.no specific guidelines in owner manual regarding that and the charges - 1250/-+ taxes- Rs. 1500 odd.probably u can buy a new tyre with this amount.
Regarding servicing- Recently got my car serviced from VIIRAJ skoda, in pune-
The Bill. 20180/-.
So I would like to draw the readers attention to the fact that the yearly service interval is merely a marketing gimmick.
my advice to all car buyers -Avoid Skoda altogether if you want value for your bucks.
