While I am very happy to see Indians making so good in OSCARS - the best award in entertainment business. It pleases my EGO and feels good. But to think of it , there are many other great movies done in India before which never were recognized or even got a entry in Oscar and suddenly 8 oscars.
Also why in recession time when US markets are not good and people are going Bankrupt. Looks like Hollywood is also also facing the brunt of recession and is exploring newer market eg : Bollywood. Money is surely there in Bollywood. So it makes me think that is it that these foreigners are again coming to India for a loot.
We have been looted by Muslims, East India Company and Portuguese and others. Are they again trying to do it. They are surely looking for a share in India.Anyways the question I ask myself is why NOW. Also poverty and corruption is there in US too. So why is India dipicted as a Poor country by taking the slum people up there for display.
There are such slum childrens in US too why have the hollywood guys never felt for them and are so deeply moved by poor Indians is a Question. I argee with Mr Amitabh that it surely depicts a different picture of India to the world.
