Initially, I was waiting for this movie desperately, slowly mydesperation increased. But when I heard the negative things about movieshowing povery and all, i was a bit hurt
cause my country is more imp to me than any movie.But still I went for the movie and I was amazed. Read on further to know why.
Theatre
Hall was 80% full.I went in for the morning show and I was happy to see the hall full. I went in for the english version.
Story
Movie starts with the police officer i.e. Irfan khan along with SaurabhShukla torturing Jamal[Dev Patel]. He has won in Who wants to be amillionaire and he is accused of
cheating and the ploice is investigating the truth And the story movesas he tells different story behind each answer he hasgiven.Also, throughout the show he is taunted by The
game host Prem Kumar[Anil Kapoor].
Direction
Direction of the movie was mindblowing. Simly superb. The subject was delicate and Danny handed it superbly.
Performances
Child artistes’s performances were the best. The three kids were very natural and were the show stoppers.
The children who were the grown ups also acted very good
Dev patel was very natural and quite refreshing. He was great.
Freida pinto was good but she didn’t have much scope to act
Anil’s performance was superb. He was looking really like thecharacter he was supposed to act. Great performance .I agree Anil’scharacter manners were strange for a
host but I guess he was asked by the director to act like this.
5.Irfan along with the supporting cast were all great.
Screenplay and Cinematography
Here, I will say that the screenplay and the camera work were some of the best I have seen ever. They both were of the top order.
Music
Superb, Fantastic, Mindblowing.Rehman’s music was pulsating to say the least. He added energy to the movie.JAI HO!
FINAL COMMENTS
Movie was superb and quite impactfull. Yes, it showed poverty but to agreat extent it is the reality and instead of accusing the movie, peoplelike Big b who have the movie
should try to improve the situation. One thing about the movie was thatin the second half it showed the progressive side of mumbai also whichi found good
At the End, I will say that it is a must watch movie by everyone.It is a once in a lifetime experience and should not be missed by anyanyone
