I was Curious about online shopping since lockdown and from too many Ads on YouTube, I came to know about Snapdeal. Worse started from this.
1. I ordered a Branded trimmer from here with 1 year warranty. The received product was totally fine but stopped working after a month. To claim the warranty I needed invoice which I lost ( Physical copy) . I decided to go through PDF. I checked my order history in Snapdeal and was shocked. It says No orders yet. I tried contacting customer support many a times. Firstly, I was explaining my issue to customer support and suddenly call got disconnected from his side. I tried again and a lady picked my phone asking about the problem. I explained it well to which she replied Sir you havent placed any order from us. Place it first then it will reflect in order history. I kept saying that I ordered a trimmer but then she said Sorry sir I have to disconnect the call. Finally after another try a guy understood my problem and told me its a small technical issue. He then asked my order ID to track it. I said I lost it to which he said Without that we cant do anything sir. After a whole week, technical issue solved and then finally I got my trimmer repaired. From this incident, I realized that customer support is just a name on Snapdeal.
2. After a month from this incident, I got a SPECIAL CODE from their side and my curiosity ordered a Hopupp Earbud. After a weekly delay from the date of delivery, I received the product. Its condition and packing clearly explaining it a second handed. Touch sensors arent working properly. Earbuds keep redialing the previous phone number automatically. Voice was not that clear on calls. I planned to return it now. I placed a return request on 17 march and it shows that delivery person take the product tommorow. Until 25th March, no delivery man and not a single call from customer service even after mailing them. Suddenly, a delivery man called me and product got returned with refund.
3. Snapdeal was good going in the beginning but later many local unverified sellers makes it a garbage. The 70-80% codes are just for attracting users and the prices are still at almost the same rate. Most of the products are used and already broken.
4. My friend ordered two 100% cotton t shirts and got both totally transparent. One of them is of smaller size. They scam peoples by replacing the faces of the people in the pictures to models for getting trust.
In the end, I like to say that Snapdeal has to work hard to kick such sellers and improve customer service.
