I was planning to buy a trimmer(Philips QG3383) and was looking for a good offer. I found a very good offer in snapdeal.com - 30% off on MRP and an additional 5% off as aFreebie if the promo codePCA5 was entered during checkout/payment.
But when I entered the promo code, got a message saying that the promo code had already expired. I called the customer service and was answered by a rude lady. She was of no help and told me, she will get the website details rectified. I had to remind her that she has to solve my problem and not the website issues. Then she told me to drop a mail to Snaphelp@snapdeal.com.
Turns out that the mail id does not exists! the actual id is help@snapdeal.com. I wrote to them regarding the issue(by then I had ordered the trimmer without the promisedfreebie of 5% additional off) and got a response in a few minutes with aregret that they would not be able to do anything as I had placed the order already.
This is plain cheating and taking customers for a ride. I am not sure if the promo codePCA5 ever worked for anyone. Just a gimmick to make customers buy from snapdeal.com.
