Wrong Product, Poor Delivery

I am writing this review as I personally used Snapdeal for the first time and had bad experience. Order No 2097429032. I ordered a red Nikkon Cool Pix camera which costed me about 13k from this site, the price was competitive and so I choose this site. I made the payment in advance through credit card, after waiting for 3 days got an update that the product was delivered.


I panicked because neither me nor my wife had received the product. The courier company used by them was some local vendor who never bothered to call us. WE lodged a complain on their toll free number, later we found that the courier guy had delivered the courier to my neighbour without seeking my permission. Very Unprofessional.


Then when we open the package we found that the camera sent by them was a black camera instead the red one that I had ordered. I had to again go through the pain on calling their service center. After that I kept getting message that they are unable to contact me.


SO I had to call them an d raise the complaint again. After 2 days I get a message that they are offering me Rs 800 as compensation if I could accept the Black camera. This was heights of unprofessional-ism.


I explained that I plan to gift this product as a wedding gift and as per tradition cannot gift a black gift on someones wedding day. On this the guy from call centre again logged another complaint assuring that this should get resolved soon. I hope so and personally I will have to rethink before ordering anything again from Snapdeal.


Now I am only hopeful, that these guys get me the red camera before the wedding. So I feel there are massive improvements that Snapdeal will have to make to improve their services. No one services by offering a mediocre service when the competition is so much.
