Recently I engaged the services of snapdeal. I went in for the purchase of a 2-Burner Gas stove glass top, preferring the manufacturer Butterfly. When the product was delivered I found that the hot-vessel stand was broken at the time of delivery. I did not wish to take up this matter seriously, I ignored the same.
In a matter of a week I found the automatic ignition of the right knob was not working. I immediately contacted snapdeal, who informed me that the 7-day period has expired and they provided me information of service center contact details.
I contacted the service center of Butterfly company and was told that they would send a service person. the service person came after four days, and inspected the product. He said that the ignition has to be replaced. He promised to come in a day or two with the required part. He did not turn up even after one week. On my repeated contacts he gave me to understand that the particular part was out of stock, and he would replace the defective part on receipt of stocks.
Though one more week has expired, the service center is still carrying on with the excuse that stocks have not arrived. I am surprised to note that such an essential part remains unavailable. This is a sad image projected by the company which I thought to be a reputed concern. I feel ashamed that such poor service is being meted out by such a distinguished company. I expect immediate action when this letter is read by the concerned officials.
