About 10 days ago we made the mistake of ordering some stuff on Snapdeal.
The promised delivery date AFTER checking pincode was 4-6 days for all orders
Today is the 24th, nothing has arrived yet, however that is not the issue, please see below:
To begin with everything was dispatched after the date they were supposed to arrive at our place itself
Couriers returned stating we were not at home when we actually were
Some of the couriers do not have service to our area although we stay in the heart of Thane(few 100 mts from Viviana Mall) and every courier(including snapdeal in the past) comes here
The courier guys have updated their status saying we wanted to cancel the item!
Some of the courier have asked us to pick up the item from their place!(Why would someone shop online if they had the time to go to a place and pick up the product?)
This is after ebay, amazon, flipkart and abof have all just delivered items bought AFTER our snapdeal purchase.
They likely do not have items in stock and are rushing to procure post order placement
In the name of customer not available or area not serviceable(both lies), they are ensuring that they save on their delivery costs by having the customer pick up shipment. This is clearly evidenced by the fact that their courier agent itself does not have a email or a phone number(listed phone number is actually the snapdeal number, see attached)
By far the most pathetic ecommerce experience we have ever faced, especially considering that snapdeal in the past itself has delivered to this very address within 3-4 days.
