Recently I had placed three orders with snap deal.com, order no.1372410799 placed on 27 Oct 12 of a squash racket followed by order no.1391053696 and order no.1391058590 of a set of polo T-shirts and a pair of shorts respectively on 02 Nov 13.
1.The estimated dispatch date for the first order was within 3 days i.e 30 Oct 13. however, the shipment wasnt done on that day and no one even bothered to inform me about the delay. Now when being asked about the delay, I was informed that the product is no longer available for shipment at that dealer and it will take another 3-4 working days for shipment. hence forcing me to cancel the order finally on 01 Nov 13.
2.For the second order i.e for the polo t-shirts, the size ordered was 42 (large). However, what I received was 3 t-shirts of XXL size and one of of XL size.(wonder Snapdeal doesnt know what size is 42 (L).
3.For the third order i.e. for the pair of shorts, similar experience. size ordered was 34. however, what I received was a mix of sizes. i.e. one short of small( S) size and the other of XL size.
The worst part is that when contacted for exchange, there is no pick up facility available at lot of places for exchange and the customer has to take all the pain of sending them the faulty items through courier within stipulated time( though the courier charges will be refunded later).
Now imagine for no rhyme or reason, one has to waste time in involving in the return process.This is as if it is the fault of the customer having placed faith in such an online shopping site. this has left me atleast in distaste for Snapdeal.
I hope others do take care while placing their order on this site.
