Very poor customer support, substandard products.

Usually I am a purchaser from the ebay.in, homeshop18.com and Star CJ Live, but this time, I thought of purchasing something from Snapdeal. Sadly, my experience is not at all good.


I purchased a pack of hooded sweatshirts for my wife and a remote control truck for my son. When I received both the products, I found out that my the sweatshirt is of wrong size and the remote control truck was of extremely poor quality. The plastic of the truck and the finishing suggests it is not more than Rs 100 and I was charged Rs 559 for that truck.


When I called the customer care, they agreed to change the size, which means that I will have to send the product back and then they will resend it again. But, they clearly denied that the product is poor and the executive clearly stated that he cannot do if the quality is bad and he will not register a complaint. When I clearly stated the policy which is mentioned in the website, he said, I better read the policy carefully and then call.


For everybody’s reference, here is the excerpt from the snapdeal.com website on quality:


"I am not satisfied with the quality of product I received. What should I do?


Don’t worry! If you are not satisfied with the quality of your product, we request you to report your concern through our Contact Us form within 7 days of receipt of your order. We’ll arrange reverse pickup for the product within 3 working days of receipt of your complaint, check for the product quality and if approved, we’ll initiate refund/replacement of the product as per your request."


Such are the irresponsible staff and executives working in snapdeal.com.


I am highly disappointed with Snapdeal and will not recommend it to anyone. They have clearly cheated me with their sub standard product and now are not ready to take a complain to get a refund.
