In 1987, Steve Davis boarded a boeing 747 British airways character air flight direct from London, Heathrow to Shanghai. For the 87’ Chinese Open event. Steve was the defending champion that year, and had his mind and notion on reclaiming the championship. It was going to be a long flight, 8 and a half hours in fact.
Indeed Davis being the polite, quiet, reformed, boring, laid back, self - interested, uniquely talented, gentleman like person that he was so focused on the task in hand, that he boarded the plane and said not a single word until the very end of his journey. Quite a feat I’m sure you will agree.
