We brought a Sobha Restoplus Mattress (Alfa Premium 78"x 72" 6" pocketed spring mattress) from Handloom House, HSR Layout, Bangalore.
We had experienced the good sleep quality on spring mattresses in hotels both in India and abroad. Also some of my friends whom I had visited had spring mattresses and found them extremely comfortable.
The sales person and store manager at Handloom House were raving about the quality and the number of pieces they had sold of the same model of the mattress. "They are excellent quality and we have sold number of them with no complaints whatsoever" they told.
From day 1 we experienced back pain and discomfort. This was probably happening because the spinal cord was not getting evenly supported by the mattress since the springs were tooo soft.
After waiting for about 10 days we contacted Handloom House only to be redirected to Mr. Ritesh, the marketing person. I explained him the complete situation and my concern.
He organized a house visit by the factory representatives who came and examined the mattress and told that there was no manufacturing defect - which was nothing new.
I was complaining about the bad design of the mattress after all !!!!
The Sobha Reps told me that the store had given the wrong mattress..." nobody should use spring mattress. they are softer and give back pains" was exactly what they said.
After that there was no response either from Handloom House or Sobha Restoplus. All calls went unanswered.
Please avoid Sobha Mattresses in case you want to avoid unnecessary hassles like me even after paying a huge sum for buying the mattress.
