Solitaire Honda is a newly established Honda Motors dealer located at Borivali, Mumbai. I had a test drive of Honda City on 21st March and immediately decided to go for 1.5 S MT. I was promised delivery within 14 days. They kept their word and I took delivery of my car on 4th April.
Solitaire Honda has a beautiful showroom at Rajendra Nagar, Borivali. Although the approach to the showroom is not that good, they have ensured that customers find sign boards at points where they might look for directions.
It is manned by well trained Sales and Service staff. They are of quite helpful nature and are very accomodating. The shining Accord, Civic and City(I didnt find a single CRV there) in the showroom and the ambience are enough to attract carlovers.
Although I was told they have good finance and exchange plans, I didnt opt for any of these. I thought it better to keep my decade old friend Maruti 800 rather than disposing it.
Sales support: My Sales Executive Nehar has been very cooperative, helpful and accomodating. He has responded to my telephonic calls even at odd hours. The others dealing with Registration Certificate and the front end staff have also been quite courteous and helpful. However I am a bit pissed off with the amount of petrol they claim to have filled at the time of delivery. They claim its 3 litres and my wife and children had to push the car to the petrol pump. Luckily the car ran out of petrol just at the end of an uphill, a little push got my car to the petrol pump at Gokuldham. I feel for someone who pays approx 9.5L for a car, expects something more than mere 3Litres(I doubt even if thats true).
Service and Support: Just got my first free service done at 228 kms(I could not drive longer because I was out of town). Sr Service Advisor Rahul Karkhanis has also been quite helfpul. Although I am satisfied with their service, a small thing pinched me a lot. I found my Freshner missing. I told Rahul that the material value is not of much importance to me, it is the habit of their staff working around who could be playing with the reputation of the Dealer. Of course for someone else it could be something costlier than that. This should be checked by the Management. I would rather strip off my car to the max before handing over for the next servicing. The worst part is that you cannot write down each and every item existing inside and outside the car. Its a matter of trust, which the Dealer should bear in mind.
Timeliness: In all my dealings so far, the staff have delivered on dot. They value customers time.
I shall be recommending the name of this Dealer to all would-be-buyers of Honda cars. However the Dealer should just keep off a few black sheep who could be tarnishing the image built by its sincere and hardworking staff.
