Fuel never disappoints

I got into Fuel when their first single ’Shimmer’ was released back in 1998. Since then, I have been a huge fan of their music. Their album, Sunburn, had catchy tunes like ’Bittersweet’ and my favorite ’Ozone’. It had an incredible mix of rock and alternative. Carl Bell, the guitarist, did a great job with the amazing guitar riffs and Brett Scallions, the lead singer, has a breath taking voice that goes so well with the well written https://lyrics. Now they have brought it up another notch with their latest album, Something Like Human.

The first song on this awesome album is called ’Last Time’. It starts and continues with a nice, heavy rock beat. There is a wonderful beat going on throughout the tune with the guitar and drums blending in together so well. Toward’s the end, sort of the middle, there is some crazy, heavy guitar riffs. All together, this is a fast, heavy song. It’s a very good choice to start the album off.

Next is ’Hemorrhage’. This is the first single off the album. It has a slow pace at the beginning, then picks up some. It is overall a slow song. I really enjoy the guitar in this song more than the others. The lyrics are deep and emotional. This was a great choice for the first single. It has a powerful, deep rhythm.

’Empty Spaces’ is another fast tune with a very cool mix of the drums, bass guitar, and guitar. You can really here, toward’s the end, the bass guitar mixing real well with the guitar, giving it a heavier sound.

’Scar’ is a steady song. It’s not that fast, but has a slightly heavier sound than ’Empty Spaces’. There’s a lot of guitar riffs in it.

And the last song I will talk about is ’Bad Day’. It starts out slow and picks up a little bit, but not enough to make it fast. It has some great lyrics with Brett’s amazing voice making it sound so good singing them. It’s not as deep as ’Hemorrhage’ is though. Still a nice track.

These are the rest of the songs that you will find on this great rock album. ’Prove’, ’Easy’, ’Down’, Solace’, ’Knives’, ’Innocent’, and ’Slow’. The five songs I talked about should give you an idea on how good this album is. Their single ’Hemorrhage’ should already be the main reason to get it.

Overall, Fuel has done it again. Something Like Human has followed in the footsteps of their previous album Sunburn. It brings Fuel’s music ans sound to another level. A nice mix of fast tunes and slow tunes with some incredible https://lyrics. The whole band does a great job. I’ve always enjoyed Brett’s voice, Carl is a master at the guitar, and the rest are also amazing. I had the opportunity to see Fuel 3 times already here in New Orleans and am going to see them once again next month, April 12, 2001. If they ever come to your area, check them out and pick up this CD. You won’t be disappointed.
