It’s been a year or two that I visited Sonmarg with my family. We stayed at Srinagar and started for Sonmarg right in the morning and reached there almost within three hours.thanks to our expert driver! It was a wonderful experience. As we visited the place in mid-May, it was a sunny, charming weather altogether. The snowy mountains, a cerulean sky, the Thajiwas glacier.it is literally the ’Paradise’. Ponies are available to hire and reach up to the glacier.
It was such a wonderful scenario that every single snap taken was an amazing one. The rainfall in late-April to June is frequent but not heavy.so tourists can enjoy the beauty of Sonmarg to their hearts’ content in this time. The rest of the year Sonmarg gets covered up by thick carpet of snow. Good restaurants are available too in it’s vicinity. So, if one plans to visit the J& K, my suggestion is, NEVER even think to miss Sonmarg.
