My love for Jeffrey Archer began with Kane and Abel, many years ago.I then went on to enjoy the other Archer novels, and more recently the Prison Diaries series.
I had Sons of Fortune sitting on the bookshelf for the last couple of years but hadnt even opened it until this week. I have neglected my family for the past few days as I was so immersed in the tale of these two strong characters - Nat and Fletcher. I was intrigued from the first page and couldnt put it down.
The pace and the characters was addictive and I would recommend it to any readers looking to escape into the world of character driven family, legal and political drama.
The courtroom scenes are superbly written and tightly controlled and the political story line will retain the interest of those of us who are not attracted to these paths. I was thrown by the ending, but tracked down the clue to an earlier chapter in the book. Thoroughly recommended !
