Nice sleek system

I bought Sony Az system in July 07 , and have been using it for around 3 Months now. My requirement was that I wanted some good Music system but at the same time I was also going in for the looks and did not wanted the system to be very bulky. This is where Sony system was fitting on many counts.

Another thing that these days markets are flooded with so many home theaters and the sales person tries to sell home theaters that can also play music. I had one home theater earlier but you can not much use it for Audio , the quality is not good and difficult to use also. So I was mainly looking for Audio system which can also be used for video so here this 5.1 system is a good choice

I had read other reviews on its FM sound quality being poor but I found that it to be ok and its reception was decent and quality also was fine

It has USB connectivity with the PC and it detected Winamp easily and was able to play but when I tried with itunes software it was not able to detect and play. Its sound quality is good (they could have done better) but I do not think you can throw some big party with this system as it is not loud enough

The remote is not that impressive, it is so big, has so many redundant buttons (probably useful in some other Sony products ) , and miss some mandatory controls like equalizer control or mute button

Its cannon shaped sub woofer looks real classy but I do not know which frequency it amplify but I do not think any audible frequency probably below 20 Hz

Its DVD features are good, I have tried different decoding and its audio decode quality was good. The picture quality is also fine. Overall I feel this product scores with its looks but is overpriced for it features.
