Display stopped working after 2 years.
Everything about this television was good. Picture quality was fine. Sound quality was great. Features were also nice except that it doesn’t support certain video formats.
Exactly after two years of usage, an horizontal white line came on the display. Then it multiplied and one day(not more than two weeks after the line appeared), the television stopped showing anything on the display. We called customer service and a guy came, checked and told that the display has to be replaced and it’ll cost about 5000. We chose to add a little more money and bought a new Smart TV from Samsung. Who knows if any other part will stop working after we replace the display!
So, I would suggest you not to buy this particular model. I’ve researched about this issue and could find that several other people who has Sony tv(even a smart tv) faced similar issues. So it’s better you don’t even consider Sony while buying tv.
Service and support is as always. They’ll bill for everything after the warranty period(They billed us for coming and also to open the TV to identify the issue). Hope my review helps.
