Sony LED TV. Terrible product. Worst service

I had purchased a Sony Bravia 46” TV(KDL46EX650) LED television in 2013. The TV was worth over Rs.90, 000.


In about 14 months time I started seeing a double image on the TV, upon complaining to Sony Customer care my case was assigned to a company called Krish(Goregaon). Their technician told us that it would cost  28, 000 Rs.! to repair the TV, and they would have to replace the entire panel. Having no choice, I paid an advance of Rs.5000 about a month ago. I was promised repair in 4-5 working days.


Then the torture began. I followed up for a fortnight and was finally told by Krish that the part is not available with Sony, and my TV is unrepairable! Useless!


After more follow up – they offered me a 25% discount if I again purchase from this horrid brand! For that too they would take my old TV.(Anyway dealers give 10-15% discount – and a buy back for the old TV – which works out to more than 25% in all!)


Add to that Krish is not returning my money despite a lot of follow up. They seem to be a fraud company. Their person “Ravi” seems to be an expert at handling such calls, and just keeps giving dates – but not the money. Absolutely shameless fraudster with no concern for the customer.


So to summarize –


1.I have a 90, 000Rs. TV that is unrepairable. SONY does not have spares for a model that is less than 18 months old.

  1. They are offering me a deal that would ensure is bought another TV from them – at a loss.

  2. Their associate has swindled me of a further 5000Rs.

Please advise where and how I should sue Sony and Krish.


I would NEVER buy another SONY product. Buyer beware.
