Specs: 16 MB memory bright backlight Ir port. 320x320 hi-resolution Rechargable battery Memory Stick expansion hmm.. so after lots of research I found the right PDA for me...!! Sony CLIE SJ-20. Yes, absolutly brillient design, display, battery life and performance it is the best PDA available in the market today at the price it available. Yes, before buying any thing I do atleast small research and about buying PDA I have done loads of lookup in stores accross mumbai and on the net.
Well, I found the SJ-20 the best in its catagory. Well, the first thing which surprise you is the screen with backlight. It is very bright and sharp. So, clear when backlight turned on that it makes you use this PDA again and again. Dislike other PDA’s backlight doesn’t drain your batter fast. Its give me 8 to 10 days of life with backlight on with usage upto 30-45 mins per day. In the light you can turn off the backlight to save battery. Best thing about sony PDA’s is its memory stick expansion. It give very nice expansion with loads of memory and usability. As you can use same memory stick with any other sony product, data trasfer become very easy. Infrared port is also, works very fine as I trasfered many apps from my friends PDA to mine. Well, one more feture which I liked a most is its flip cover, which falls on the screen also covering buttons in the bottom. Okie. As, nothing can be 100% perfect in this world there are somes cons in this one too. One thing I disliked about this PDA is no default USB cradle provided. Insted they have given USB connecter wire. Well, while charging or transfering data it becomes dificult to use it. Also, its size is litte bit bigger than other competitors like Palm V, palm 500 etc. well, hight and with is proper and fits fine in your pocket but thickness is around double of that palm V. But, if you can work with this cons, belive me this is the best PDA I have ever seen. Ok, you have two other option in this series of PDA’s. SJ-10 and SJ-30. SJ-10 is cheaper but dont have rechargable battery and have only 8 mb memory (battery is what made me buy SJ-20 insted of SJ-10, as 8 mb memory is more than enough) SJ-30 have very much mame fetures as JS-20 accept that it have color screen. If you think giving 50$ extra for color sceen is worth then you can surly go for SJ-30. So, enjoy this very kewl gadget!! and enjoy your life.. ba bye
