A good phone that could have been made better

For the past 6 years I have been using Sony Ericsson PDA phones . I find the stylus and the operating system easier to use (compared with Nokia which I was using prior to that ).

The 910 series of Sony Ericsson were terrific . Easy and intuitive to use . If they were still available I would have bought it.For the past 2 months I am using the G900 . It’s a good phone. The 910 series were more comfortable to hold and use .

The G900 in comparision looks and feels like an anorexic toy. The screen size is smaller (than the 910 series ) so typing with the stylus is that much more challenging . The address book in the 910 series was better and easier to use . Features like notes , alarms , stop watch etc are good . Audio quality is great .I haven’t activated the internet on the phone . So can’t comment on it .The biggest issue I face is that this phone does not sync yet with my Macbook .

Sony Ericsson assumes that all buyers of the G900 somehow use Windows based computers . This one problem alone diminishes the utility of the G900 for me because pictures can’t be downloaded , contact lists can’t be imported. For Windows users the phone would be far more feature richThe slot for the ear piece and charging are the same . So it’s not easy to use the phone while charging . The location of the slot for the ear piece is on the left side of the phone. That makes it unwieldy to hold the phone to sms or type notes if the hands free device is attached .Battery life does not seem long . And the phone heats up if used for 30-40 minutes .Overall an ok phone that could have been made far better .
