I have always loved SE for their right pricing. I had a SE T100 before this phone. And despite what other people thought about that phone, I loved it for its sheer functionalities. Sony Ericsson J230i does not disappoint me either. It could be called the elder brother of T100, for most of the fuctionalities are the same. My review below
Display: Still wonderful. The colours are easy on the eye. The 65k color display is quite adequate for a phone without camera.
Has around 500 Kb internal memory. I wouldnt call that great, but should more than suffice for normal usage.
3. The features are still elusive. I found it rather easy as I had a SE before, and the keys were just the same ( for navigation) But for a new user, he/she might find it frustrating.
The pricing is just right. At Rs.4300 ( a week within its launch) it wasnt too heavy on my pockets. I saw a Nokia with the same features at around Rs.4800. This is where SE scores over Nokia. It has learnt to price just right. Nokia I think is over pricing its products for it believes that people will buy its product only for the battery.
The biggest thing for us: The battery. I was pleasantly surprised to see the great performance of the battery of this phone. It was such an improvement from the lousy battery that the earlier models had. It can easily go without charging for 2-3 days at normal usage, plus the FM.
The keypad: It is good.. though not feather touch. But quite solid and sturdy looking. But not hard and small like T100. It will last a lifetime if u dont punch it hard. Overall its a great phone, if u are just willing to learn how to use it. Not tough just that it is a little different from the intutive Nokia. And the solidity of owning Sony Ericsson is unbeatable
