This is my 1st evr review inspite of being a crazy for mobile gadget guy. SE 750i is the phone which I have been using for almost 11 months now, much more than any phone I have used, 2nd longest duration being 4 months. I have used everything from Samsung R220 to nokia 2300 to nokia 3230 to SE 550i. The emphasis has always been good music. While SE 550i beats all other phones I have used (including 750i) in terms of good quality music, I must say SE 750i is the phone which has given me the utmost satisfaction. Let me run you through its pros n cons.
Positives:
Nicely built, quite stylish (not comparable although to the recent SE launcges), but at its price, the best available.
Pretty strongly built and very durable, still going strong inspite of being banged several times by my 18 month old daughter.
Music : FM is pretty good both in terms of sound quality and reception. Media player is better than the FM in all aspects. It comes along with a 64 MB card as well with 34 MB internal memory and is expandable up to ! GB , I guess
Web : I am not very savvy with the technical words when it comes to web browsing, but this SE 750 allows me to surf through google, rediff, yahoo etc and to download images, ringtones, themes, videos etc.
Camera: The picture quality is absolutely superb and the videos I capture are also very clear. However, the camera has gone a bit slow after my memory card got corrupt.
Negatives:
- Reception network : The only regret I have with this phone is its inability to stick to the network and the sound reception. The network signal is down at most of the places and you cannot continue your call due to frequent ups and downs with the network. It is a real pain at times as I am into sales n mktg and am on the field most of the times and to my use time is very high.
All in all, its a phone worth having especially with its price. Now it is available at 8000/- in the market.
A phone worth evry bit of rupee spent!!
