I bought this phone because of the number of features it offered for the ridiculously low price. It was only after 6 months of use that I realized how I was deceived by SE. The low price tag was probably a cover up for sony ericsson’s inefficiency in incorporating quality joysticks into their phones. They build this amazing little phone packed with features like bluetooth, GPRS ability, 1.3 MP camera(which is preposterously good) and a small, rugged body with good quality speakers; and then mess up the whole deal by using a cheap, low grade joystick instead of a good old 5-way navigation keypad.
My question to SE is, WHY? Why spoil such an amazing phone? I didn’t even mind the 28MB limited memory and lack of FM, but a working joystick is something I’ve JUST GOT TO HAVE! They had me submit the phone for "repairs", under warranty, 6 times in 4 months (I have documents to prove it) and the end of it all the joystick would still give away on the 3rd or 4th day after the "repairs" had taken place. For one of the "repairs" they(SE) took 1 and a half months after which my warranty period expired so I decided to NOT go on with this "repairs" routine every odd week and sell off the phone instead.
Thus, I recommend this phone if you use the joystick sparsely so it won’t give away.
