Before you rate or comment on this review I would like you to understand that this review is coming from a hardcore Nokia X user and Sony has not bought me to write the undersaid:
I am a person who is always on the move, get very little time to tune in to my favourite music, or listen to that CD that my friend gave me 2 years back. I love nature, meeting people and travelling. I am well networked so I have so many friends I love to keep in touch with. As a traveler you will find the more you carry the less the freedom and more the responsibility.
So those who did not get the point, I am a guy who needs a phone, a digital camera, a music player without having to carry all of them on my escapades! And Sony said "Let there be Sony Ericsson K790i" Which was amazing! I felt that this phone was invented for me. And now I enjoy hours of music on my travel, capture the best images of friends and places I see and wish to share and stay in touch with the people I need to. Isnt that a blessing? Honestly "YES" this phone is worth the cost I bought it for which was expensive at that time. I picked it up and found it very difficult to use here I am talking about being user friendly the keys and functions all messed up compared to using the Nokia. But in a few weeks I felt that its such a smart phone and can do wonders with its features!
I picked up the 512 MB M2 memory card as the first accessory - surprisingly with the help of an adaptor I can connect it to my laptop and exchange files. The second accessory was a bluetooth sterio headset often mistaken as an MP3 player cause looks like one. It has all the call answer and music player options available - brilliant but expensive costed me INR 4, 000 from Sony World.
Well enough of the flattery here are some points I would like to critize upon:
- Phone could have better dimensions, a wider screen display perhaps.
- Camera has a lid that sometimes opens without your notice, possibility to get loose and not close at all (This covers the camera lens)
- Response time per click very slow (camera), takes ages to save an image and for you to get ready for the next click - Tip: Try not to shoot pigeons they move really fast!
- Playlist feature so confusing to understand that I do not bother to understand it. I get my newly added ringtones play at times when I am listening to the music.
Thats it folks you definitely can live with this phone, I might consider buying my next phone: Almost never. If you are thinking of buying this phone I suggest you wait a little more cause I think they will bug fix a few features. Note: This phone has a Cybershot 3.2 Mega Pixel camera with auto focus and zoom.
