I have been using p990i since last week. Its a great feature rich phone.
Unlike as reported, I haven’t faced any software glitch. Yes I upgraded the firmware immediately after buying it. It is the latest patch released on 06/15.
Features I like
Large screen(good image quality
Dual usage mode(touchscreen and qwerty keyboard)
SMSing made easy(with qwerty keyboard and soft keyboard, typeahead feature)
Good Camera
WLAN( Speed is good)
MP3 player/FM radio(i never had before)
Business card scanner(amazing feature - I have tried with biz cards of different formats and it does it right every time)
Free accessories
Docking station
USB Cable
earphones
Charger
Price - 14999/- (+400 postage)
Features Would like to explore
I didn’t like
Bulky Phone(i had to buy a leather belt case, can’t come in a pocket)
UI(probably getting used to UIQ. But for some simple operations there are lot of clicks)
Sound quality could have been better(Other SE new models are better, I have heard them. But better then N73)
WLAN(I dont know whether it would be practical. Since at home I prefer PC/laptop. And there are not much hotspots around in India)
Final verdict
- A great buy at this amazing price. You couldn’t have ask for anything more
