Sleek, youthful, subtle, yet dynamic, all fit this model.Looks do matter: The entry model from Sony ericsson factory, 300 later modified and released again as T310, is quite a phone. It is redesigned mainly to attract the whole of youth in the world to buy it. But if 20% of youth had atleast seen it? But should admit, whoever has seen it for the first time, cant stop themselves from ’’wow’’. If this’’wow’’ is what you are looking for, from the circle of people around you, then go ahead. But, sometimes, aesthetics can remain at the door what most of the (atleast Indian )people look for is the backend of it. Though its pricey, 10k when I bought this 4 months ago, its worth the whole amount. . Though, skin color could be changed to Orange and blue, violet is more appropriate; note that not because its the only skin available in the market, it is just right with all kinds of dresses formal and informal
Now inside stuff:
The most amazing interface which no other company had tried yet, is its joystick, outside. It IS joyful. Not only you can navigate by left, right, top and bottom on the screen, but also you u can get inside by press at center. Thats right, its 5way joystick and thats the unique design to this model. Its higher version also based on this type. Though its difficult for beginners to move up and down, after few movments its a piece of cake. The menu is based on icons which is also another unique factor at interface level inside. Navigation wise its the most intuitive way of doing things. Wonderful small icons for mobile phones, home number, etc which is rare in other products.
Color screen: Though the colour screen cant take up gradients and high end stuff, but who are content with color screen it fulfills the purpose. Because, its not only colored, but all the accessories you could think of in Indian scenario, WAP, infrared, etc. If you are exploratory on these areas, you would be game for it.
Ringtones: Built in polyphonic ringtones, some people wondered where do I hide the music system within me, on move. When I take out this, they all are ’’wow’’; and I got a nickname for it ’’FM’’ radio too. Btw, you can attach a FM ear phones too; doubt if available in India. By this time polyphonic are sometimes pain and lost its charm.
Dust-free and extra skin free. Yes. when most people are scared of dust and rain, I have been using it without an extra cover, cos the polythene cover spoils its beauty. Somewhat I feel proud in showing it off (how humble am I?)
Buttons! They are tiny and subtle, wondered how would I use it. I tried other models in the same sections, man, this is GOD.
Charger: is very thin and light as against other models. I create jealousy from my friends when they carry heavy charger. Also charging once goes for 4-5days for average users. Also it depends on how frequent you are using it.
Reception problems: what is that mean? (believe me most of the models suffer from above 2 issues)
Though it is priced at 9999 before 4 months, this remains as poor-mans T610 which is its next camera version. Must admit, there is a huge audience liking its greeny logo already.
Missing point: calendar, may be the makers thought, the users might not need calendar, but whoever using it would have already felt the empty feeling because of it.
Another missing point: Ringtones though in maximum its not audible especially on move. Vibrator may be a solution but for people who hate vibrator, sorry, no other alternative.
Verdict: When compared to other competitive models in this section, you will find that this is best of all, because its well within the value and money with all these functions and features. For ppl who admire small and tiny things with no frills, ( like arrow-mark for up and down, icons, etc) this is it.
Dont think twice abt buying, cos thats what I did, and I’m proud owner of it, now.
