Powerpacked

I have  been using this set for couple of months now and the phone have not given a single problem(touch wood). I’d rate this Walkman phone over another higher priced Sony Ericsson’s Walkman phone W550i - first because of the price and second for the expandable memory slot.

The media player Walkman 1.0 is same with all the Walkman phones except W900i andW950i which have the upgraded Walkman 2.0 player. Nevertheless, the media player supports all popular music file formats, editable playlists and the equalizer noticebly changes the sound.

The handset stands out for its simplicity. For example, if you send a file through Bluetooth, you dont have to turn the Bluetooth on like Nokia handsets. You can use your preferred headphones plugging it to the 3.5 mm jack - something not common in most handset though it makes a lot of sense.

The design looks same as a lower end model Z530i but the W300i is far superior in functionality. The non-glossy textures doesn’t accumulate dust and fingerprint unlike’sleek’ phones so looks new for a longer period of time. 256 Mb card comes with the standard pack so you can carry a decent amount of songs. The battery gives more than 24 hours of continous playback and lasts for 3 days under normal usage.

The VGA camera is a bit of let down and I’d expect atleast a 1 megapixel camera, but with the price-tag so low.one have nothing much left to complain about. Another advantage with the W300i is that there is no limit to duration of video recording.

All in all, a good phone with decent features.
