Recent Review. Guys I am very Happy to inform you that I took this Case to the Consumer Court & the court order was in my favour asking them to pay 12, 149. Sony Ericsson guys delayed the payment by a year but had to pay interest @ 18% and made the full and final settlement of Rs.
14, 230 and the Case is put to rest.

*Hi Guys, Suresh again, Sony has replaced the handset after months of follow up. A special mention of the Mobile Store guys who took up the Complaint in right earnest with the Sony Guys. the phone was replaced on 6/9/08 Evening. I charged it on the 7th & used it on the 8th. By that evening I could not make or receive any calls.
I took it to the Centre on the 9th & the Software had to be loaded again.Secondly there were a couple of photos already in the Memory Card.Thirdly there was no plastic paper over the LCD. These points towards a Refurbished Handset rather than a new one. But touchwood the phone is functioning satisfactorily now.

*I had purchased a SonyEricksonW580i on 31/5/08. After a month the LCD conked off & I had submitted it with their Authorised Service Centre "Oren Infotech" at Borivili. The Phone was returned after 10 days , though the LCD was functioning the
Key Board panel was broken. I suspect the service centre has changed the Panel which was in good condition & substituted with a damaged one.I took the phone to the Mobile Store for replacement but was directed to the Sony Service Centre & they have taken the Phone but have not repaired it till date The Excuse, they dont have spare Key Board Panel.I would like Sony to live up to the reputation of being Globaly rRajeev_Vermacted Brand and set an example for good business practices in India. This would include disciplinary action against the dealer in question and stronger dealer certification and quality control.
