Some issues / things that the company could have improved in the cell phone -
If during a call, an SMS is received, the phone vibrates :( this is sometimes extremely irritating.
I live in an area where the network reception is not so good. Often a different network is selected - which is fine - this really depends on how strong the network is. But in such a condition, if the home network becomes strong, the phone still does not switch to the home network.
This can be proved by -
If I manually try to select a network, the home network shows up and on selection, it shows a very strong signal !!
- While typing a SMS text message, I accidentally press the ’back’ arrow key. A prompt asks whether I would like to save it as a draft. I have 2 options - yes and no. At this juncture, since I accidentally pressed the ’back’ arrow key, I just want to go back to the message and continue typing the message and I am unaware why the phone is asking me to save it as a draft. I just select ’no’ and the message is gone!!!
Ideally, with the ’yes’ and ’no’ buttons they should have provided a ’cancel’ button which will directly take me to the message typing screen.
- Suppose after typing a message and selecting ’send’ to send the message, sometimes I get the message ’message sending failed’ - probably due to network unavailability or something else - FINE. The next prompt is - would you like to save it as a draft? with options YES and NO. If I accidentally select NO, the messaeg is LOST.
I would like a RETRY option here :)
Buttons on the keypad are not easily identifyable by fingers. All of them have the same shape and the ’ridges’ - or the two small dots on the center ’5’ button are not very prominent.
Lens flap on the back of the mobile is a bit loose and opens while keeping into the trouser pocket.
’Read Receipt’ of an SMS vibrates - this is not really required. It is a bit irritating when I am sending multiple messages. I would just love to have the status set without the user to particularly click ’ok’ when a read receipt comes.
Low battery alert sound is loud, irritating and that worst part is that it cannot be customized.
There is no way to know whether some data is being transferred while browsing the internet. There could have been some indicator kind of thing - such as a ’rotating’ globe! There is a globe to indicate internet is ON, but it does not rotate.
On my old Nokia 3230, I could browse other things on the mobile while the internet is ON. I could go to the ’connections’ panel to see the amount of data is being transferred and whether it is transferred at all.
Other than all these things the sound is good, but not so loud as compared to the music edition phones of Nokia. But sound quality is definitely very good.
