It has been 2 years since I am using sony 1 TB external hard drive and never got any point to blame it till date. I purchased it from a local shop and it is performing fine. It is not a slim one as we want but not a problem with it. The main thing is that you can’t let the hard drive idle. Otherwise it will not be as fine as before. For last 10-15 days I didn’t use it and after that when I used it was so slow perfoming that I got irritated. Just one thing about the drive is that you have to take care of its maintenance. Then only it will give you better value for money. And about the service & support I have never inquired of it. I think it would be a good one
