I recently bought a new Sony colour television 21" model "AR21M83". I always had a pleasant experience with the Sony products and trust me, I am pretty satisfied with my decision, yet again.
The picture quality, which you find in this model is just incredible. That is something, which the other competing television brands cannot offer. It has different picture options like Mild, Standard and High contrasted ones to set according to our need. All of this presents a perfect, crystal clear picture.
The other feature, which I feel good, is the "Auto signal booster" mode. There are times when the picture look either stronger or weaker. This option automatically adjusts the channel to give the best picture in either of the occasions.
The sound quality is pretty good in terms of sound clarity. But, if you are the one who replaces
the televsion for the audio system, then this model will not probably suit you. It is just because it is not that loud enough. You need to set the volume to 35% to get the normal sound level. But, again, when it comes to the audio clarity, it is very good. It does not produce the squeak, even when you raise the volume to the maximum level. It includes five band graphic equaliser and also true surround and stimulated surround options.
It includes "Channel sort" , "Channel naming" , "sleep timer" features, which are very much a regulars in T.V models these days. There is also "Wide view" option available. The picture looks pretty good in this wide mode also. The appearance of the model too is great. It has got a rigid silver grey cabinet with two side speakers, which gives it a gorgeous look .
The only thing, I would want to be on the better side is the picture start up delay. The picture takes almost 15 seconds to appear once you switch on. I think that could be improved.
Overall, It is a pretty good deal, considering the impeccable pictute quality it offers and the price range.
