Good handycam lacking couple of handy features

I always yearned for a big screen TV. The inbuilt projector clarity in a reasonably dark room is excellent with big screen(upto 60 inches diagonally) but at the same time sony proprietary software in handy cam doesn’t make it possible to view externally transferred video.

So only recorded videos can be enjoyed and not your fav Ytube videos, movies etc thru the projector. You can just lie down on your bed and enjoy ur videos on ur room’s ceiling. Since ceilings are generally painted in white, they produce clear videos since white reflects max light.

Video quality recorded is very good in day light and good indoors. Still photos are ok. The inbuilt USB cable is handy for quick transfer of recorded videos to ur PC.

Appropriate cable are supplied to view videos on HDTV and SDTV.

Sony should have supplied a remote for easy video recording and playback  control as they have done in the past for the cassette handycams. Now one has to reach out for the touchscreen viewfinder panel for every action which is not so user friendly.

Overall a good video camera. Projector feature steals the show.

One good word for the exclusive Sony dealer at Bokaro steel city, Jharkhand. They offered me the cam at a bargain for exchange of old sony handycam.
