This pc can do it all, watch dvds, create your own movies, audio cd, connect cameras via ilink and usb. The Intel pentium processor just makes everything work flawlessly. The unit comes with both a 56k modem and ethernet built in so connecting to the internet is a snap. I had to call technical support once to ask a question about movie shaker and he said the Sony technical support was the best in the business.
This computer is ultra expandable as there are open PCI slots, I-link connectivity, USB ports, including the normal serial port and Parallel port connections. The unit comes with Adobe Premeire LE along with Dvgate motion, Sonic Foundry to edit wave files to create home movies. Beside the normal stuff like Quicken, the software bundle is hard to beat in added value.
As a computer tech., I have never seen a computer so well put together both hardware and software wise with, as this R-series unit. After playing with the unit for several hours, this computer is worth every penny.
