This is the age of I-pod, mp3s, and other flashy gizmos. Walkmans are out and new multipurpose stuff are in. And its not just about electronic gadgets like mobiles, dvds, laptops, that I am talking about. Anything you buy should have the ability to perform many functions besides what it is expected to do. For example, a mobile should have a camera, radio, real player, etc. And for that matter if you buy a brief for yourself, do not be surprised if it comes with a multi purpose utility. I am running out of ideas and imagination to explain in words what those extra utilities can be. Shall I give it a try?
Ever since I remember, I have had a pair of ears. The services were available sometimes for myself while mostly it was for others, like my teachers –I used to pretend listen with unmatched patience their boring lectures and who at times used to drum my ears!, friends, parents, janta, etc. Then one day I decided to give my ears a musical treat and bought myself a Sony walkman. This was in August 1998. Since then a lot many changes have come in my life, but this Walkman has given me untiring service. Only the headphones have been replaced. An occasional head cleaning is all that is required to bring SONY WM EX150 back to life.
This walkman is great. It does not have many features. It has a cassette player without record facility, forward and backward facility is available, anti loop mechanism, then it has AVLS – Automatic volume leveler system (on the press of button reduces the volume, very handy if you want to take a call or talk).
The looks of WM EX150 are elegant but chic. Sound quality is really good. Actually I would say if you continue to play good quality cassettes it will provide your ears crystal clear output. Battery consumption is okay. Earlier while in school, I had this habit of carrying it everywhere I went. This custom carried on in college. And honestly this piece of SONY has went places with me. On train journeys, bus tours, lonely nights, examination times, etc. It has not been handled with care, but probably it does need any.
If I need to buy a new audio system, quite obviously I would like to settle with SONY. Once a SONY, always a SONY. Yes it comes with a price, but it’s the quality that matters.
For those about to make investment in audio gadgets do consider SONY. They are the best. It sounds good, looks good and lasts long. What else would anyone want.

Lend me your ears.....
Once I had a rather interesting experience with the SONY walkie. I had this habit of carrying my walkie everywhere especially while travelling. Also my walkie had rather unusually large pair of headphones. Once when on a DTC bus I had thse headpphones on. There was this lewd guy, who probably found me amusing and continuously stared me for around 45 minutes and me ignored him for the same time. Finally I had to get down, interestingly, he followed his stare, looking at me as an object not of earth but alien. I still laugh when I re, member that chap.
