This is a must watch for every sports fan because we get very few quality sports biopics and a great watch for movie fans in genral because of the great performance by Diljit, Tapsee Pannu, Angad bedi and imo the star of the show - Vijay Raaz in a cameo as the indian Team coach. He is just incredily hilarious as always and a treat for the senses. Sandeep Singh’s life has been a roller coaster ride. I must admit that I haven’t followed Hockey passionately as did at the turn of the century ( early 2000s when the junior stars like Jugraj Singh Gagan Ajit, Deepak Thakur along with the veteran Dhanraj pillai played some dazzling hockey at the world stage ) . Jugraj Singh’s career was also cut short at a very early very stage because of a road accident ( was tipped to be the next Sohail Abbas at the time by sohail abbas himself) and Sandeep also suffered similar fate because of a freak accidental fire while travelling in a train. However, I must say, this film could have been much much better if there was a batter director and more action scenes from the field and some more real life names where Incorporated. Anyway, do watch this.
