I should have visited this page before choosing SOTC, but did a massive mistake! I planned a couple trip to Turkey in Oct 2014 so inquired with SOTC as I always heard its’the best’ travel agency across India. SOTC operates from Mumbai so they made lots of delay on getting my turkey visitor VISA. On top of that the representative in Bangalore didn’t know the list of documents to be produced in consulate so I had to send my docs two times.
The support agent(sits in Bangalore) didn’t have any idea about Turkey tourism and I had to struggle a lot as very few ppl speak English over there. One of my main intention was to take a baloon trip which is very famous. I was not told about booking procedures by SOTC agent and I found at least 2 months prior to the trip you need to do a reservation. I was completely unaware of that fact so I couldn’t get a baloon trip. While trying to reach my agent, my calls were not being answered, not even for a single time. So I had to figure out things by myself.
SOTC had promised me 4* hotel while staying in Turkey but upon arrival I found it not even 1*. SOTC took extra 40 EURO(total trip cost by SOTC was 2.5L INR) for private transfer to sightseeing areas but I had to go in a group through some other local travel agent.
It would have been better If I could arrange trip myself. Tripadvisor is fair enough to guide.
I will never choose SOTC again.
