Naseeruddin Shah is my favorite actor even beyond amitabh and rajesh Khanna. Though both Amit and kaka are favorite when its to commercial movies. But Naseer is the best when it comes to anykind of movies. For this movie Naseeruddin shah spent a week learning in a school of blind kids and looked at how blind people carried out their life through out the day. It shows great talent of Naseeruddin Shah. Sai Paranjpayee gives this movie a brilliant direction. ANother reality based movie. A little social drama involved and feminist subject. A great plot, I won’t revial it since you have to watch it. Shabana azmi’s acting is natural and down to earth human being and touching in this movie. Om Puri has a little work and also does a good supporting. MR Yogi is also in this movie, , , ah yes Mr Yogi the good ole days of watching him on Tv in 1980s.
A funny thing about this movie is that I somewhere read that this movie was actually made in 1979 but was never released up unitl 1984. Now I don’t know if its true or not. Anyways Its a must see movie.
