It was Late Feb 2007 when I steeped to Spectra Motors, Borivali. The Sales person whom I spoke to was Dheeraj. My first impression was he has good sales man skill and a gentleman and has lot of patience. He explained me goods and not so good options of various maruti cars.
I guess he figured out i’m a money spender and then explained me all the good factors of Maruti Baleno Car, which was the most expensive car there in that show room at that point of time.
I did not do any research on Indian cars by that time, so I believed that person and made my judgement to purchase a Baleno LXI with Pearl silver color and made almost 80% of payment by check.
Then one of friend informed me maruti is actually passing out Baleno and introducing SX4. I called up this chap to enquire and this guy (looks thorough gentle man) told me no there are plans and it won’t be untill next 6 months at least. What a F-U-C-Ki-N cheater?
Then after couple of days he informed me the color which I choose is not available and I’ve to move to VXI for the same color. Since I made the payment I did not have much option and I purchased the VXI version. The car again was delivered after 10-12 days which was almost 1 week later than the promise date.
Bottom line:- You go there but do not believe these sales persons. Do your own ground work before going to any show room.
