Speed Post service is efficient and trustworthy but lot of improvement is needed . The department has to make provision that good quality stationery items like gum , envelopes and cello tapes etc are available there.
I wanted to send a letter thru speed post and in my hurry I forgot to buy an envelope but I thought that I could buy one there in post office at sector 56 Gurgaon itself . On my enquiry was told that only Rs 5 envelopes were available .
I decided to buy one even though it was not of required size and made with a very thin paper. But after inserting my letter I discovered that it was not possible to seal the cover as gum was of very poor quality ..It was impossible to cover the letter .
Neither any gum bottle or cello tape was available so that I could seal the letter without damaging the content .. I had no optiion and drive upto kendriya Vihar to get a new envelope and rush back as SPEED POST booking was done only upto 12 PM on saturdays . The authorites must ensure that good quality covers and other items are available at all POST OFFICES .
