I have recently bought the SPICE D88n handset as my old TataIndicom Nokia Handset went bad.
I was a bit apprehensive of it working with Tata Indicom UIM, since I didnt get a proper response from the Tata indicom Dealers. Everyone told me to go for Samsung.
Hence, when I went to Sangeetas @ Bangalore, I was really amazed that the D88n gels well with Tata IUM. Its got a whole lot of features with all the accessories normally available on a higher end Mobiles like Nokia & Samsung Duo . The Price Tag is pretty decent. I got it for Rs.8000/-.
The Accessories are also impressive. Except a Bluetooth headset , you have all the accessories required for normal usage. The bundled USB cable doubles up as Charger hence, eliminating the pain of carrying the actual Charger on the Move.
I have also Tried using with Two SIMs installed. Unlike SAMSUNG , we can easily switch between CDMA & GSM. This also enables conferencing.
The Downside I have noticed so far is the Battery life. But this can be Ignored since we get 2 batteries as Standard Accessory.
Vista Drivers needs to be uploaded by the vendors soon.
Over-all a Good Value for Money handset.
