I am flying from Mumbai to Delhi tonight... flight has been delayed from 9.15 pm to 10.50 pm and will arrive at 1.00 am.
I called the customer care and requested that since I am a woman traveling alone reaching so late will not be safe. The executive refused to listen to anything and asked me to cancel the flight and book another one. My plea fell on deaf ears.
When I called to make a complaint nobody answered the phone, even the managers have not been answering the phone. I intend to go to consumer court. When I was traveling with Kingfisher last year I faced the same situation. They shifted me to an earlier flight.
Avoid spicejet. They lure you with low fares but the service is extremely bad and will not make any compensations even for their fault. The flights always get delayed and even if the customer is 5 mins late they will not let him/her board the flight.
