I had planned a trip to Srinagar from Trivandrum via Delhi. Delhi to Srinagar and return was planned in SpiceJet. The onward flight (18th Sep 2013 SG 863) got rescheduled and the return flight (25th Sep 2013 SG854) got changed.
The return flight is changed to another flight of theirs which would fly 2.30 hrs later than the actual one. Needless to mention that I will not reach Delhi in time to catch my flight to Trivandrum. The airline customer care says it "apologizes for the inconvenience" and it is due to an " operational trouble" that they had to do so.
There is a rule which binds the airlines to refund the full amount if the flight is rescheduled beyond 2 hours. Ok, you got your money back, but what about the additional amount you have to shell out to book new tickets and the additional time you need to spend for rescheduling your entire trip? As customers why should we suffer for a fault of theirs? Next time SpiceJet surely wont be an option for me when I plan my journey.
